A well-known local franchise owner for Australia's largest independently-owned mortgage broker, Mortgage Choice, has just received one of the highest industry honours - a lifetime achievement award for her ongoing professional triumphs and outstanding contribution to the mortgage industry.
Wendy Higgins from Mortgage Choice in Glenelg, South Australia, accepted the Golden Morgie for Lifetime Achievement in the Mortgage Industry award in front of an admiring crowd of lenders, brokers and other industry representatives at the 2011 Australian Mortgage Awards held on Friday evening.
Wendy has built a successful franchise over 13 years and strong relationships within the Glenelg community and surrounding areas, where she sponsors numerous clubs and associations. During this time she and her team of nine have won a plethora of esteemed Mortgage Choice and industry awards and professional milestones including reaching a $1 billion home loan book built from organic growth.
Of her achievement Wendy said, "I am so happy to have reached this level of accomplishment. Anyone close to me knows my life hasn't been free from up and downs, but I've always remained true to my role: helping people achieve their property dreams. This award is recognition of the hard work and sacrifices I and my staff have made to make our business a success."
