The process of moving banks was a lot slower than I had hoped for as the amount agreed wasn't reached in time for initial settlement. 1.5 weeks after settlement I am still sorting release of my parents property (security) and paying a fee for that, which is also not ideal as I thought everything was finalised and paid for upon settlement. I believe that to be down to ANZ and nothing that Smartline did. To improve the experience, if settlement could happen on the expected initial date instead of postponed twice, that would be the ideal scenario but, some things are out of the Smartlines hands, as a lot of the proicess lies with the Banks themselves. Adam was very good, easy to contact and friendly as always.

Adam, was great thanks very much. He helped get us the actual loan we were after, advised us to wait a little and we got a better loan rate. He kept us up to date throughout the process. My wife and I were very happy with the service we received from Adam. He was always punctual when meeting with us and fitted into our schedule. Without having to change Banks, Adam was able to update our existing accounts and in doing so was able to get us a great interest rate on our new loan as well as a better rate on our existing loans.

This is the second time we have used Adam to assist us with our home loan (once to re-finance and secondly to purchase a new home) and we have been more than happy with his professionalism, keeping us up-to-date on all progress and always responding to communication promptly. Adam was very efficient and always available for any questions. If busy, he always replied promptly and with good advice. Settlement group were friendly but needed prompting in a couple of instances, saying that, I believe they gave me quite a reasonable rate for their work. it was just a little unnerving for a first time home buyer to work with them as they weren't always clear on what I needed to give them to get the job done.
Adam was very accommodating with meeting times and also taking the time to explain documents to me. He told me an estimate amount I could borrow in our first meeting and I found something that very weekend that was within my amount and now I have my dream house! I've meant to write to Smartline for the past six months re the service provided by Adam Kay when I purchased my first home six months ago ... but settling into the new life has kept me preoccupied.
