A few years ago I was looking for a mortgage broker to assist in obtaining a home loan and after speaking to a colleague at work, was recommended Brian, who was working with Smartline at the time. I was told that his previous experience in working with banks gave him valuable and insightful inside knowledge into how to tackle the banks and get the most competitive home loaninterest rate, which ultimately benefits his clients.
Since speaking to him many years ago - he has continued to help not only my family but others I have referred on to him. He is extremely knowledgeable, personable and significantly reduces the stress of finding a suitable home loan.
He was happy to travel from where he lives Western suburbs all the way to the other side of town for an initial meet and greet it was love at first sight and then continued to share his professional insightassistance via Zoom during Melbourne lockdown.
My favourite part of his service recently was him and his son speaking to the bank on my behalf without my knowledge pre-empting I would approve and asking for further reductions on my variable interest rate for mortgages on my home and rental property, then not accepting the banks initial offer confident they would further reduce and only then informing me once he was confident it would not go lower - to approve which I did immediately.
When I tell familyfriends of the above service - they immediately demand Brian's contact details.
I will continue to use his services and refer familyfriends to him for many years to come.

Maybe a FAQs list for people wanting to fill out their forms. There's lots of tricky aspects to it that aren't necessarily understood. We weren't aware that banks are supposed to help with the transfer of direct debits, for instance. Also the process of how someone witnesses an ID in the stat decs was confusing.

What I really appreciated was the way Brian made me feel comfortable asking what I sometimes felt may be silly questons. He made me feel at ease to ask what ever question I had. This was really important to me as the process is quite daunting and it is critical that I understood everything. I really can n ot think of anytghing more I could have asked to add more value to the service. My situation was a very complex one with multiple loans. What made my situation even more difficult was the reluctance of lenders to provide me with equity in my existing apartment. Brian worked extremely hard to find a lender who accepted equity in my apartment which allowed me to purchase my next home. I certainly would not have been able to bid and purchse the home without Brian's assistance.
Brian not only managed to get a loan for us under very trying circumstances he was also able to negotiate with my partner Baz who can be also very trying but likes to get the best results he can, he aslo appreciates all that Brian did for us.

As a first home buyer some updates as the loan approval process was happening would have been great. Felt we had to do some chasing to find out where we at. However Brian did go to length to get us the best deal on the homeloan when our first option didn't look like it would get approved in time.
Brian provided us a very professional service with an unwaivering dedication to its course in obtaining our property investment loan. Smartline seems to have a strong online present, it would be an extra bonus if an online tracking facility of the progress of loan applications is available to clients.
