Jon Choi, JP, MAICD, Dip FMBM - Director & Principal Credit Advisor
Before becoming a Finance Broker and owning a Mortgage Choice franchise, Jon spent 12 years as the Managing Director of a private agribusiness company in NSW. This company specialised in producing Wagyu, Longfed Angus, and domestic trade cattle. During Jon's tenure, the company expanded its holdings by acquiring prime breeding and fattening land and re-establishing an NFAS accredited custom feedlot. The strategic goal of vertically integrating the farm enterprise, from breeding and growing to finishing cattle, was successfully achieved, with the cattle processed at a Tier 1 export plant for international sales to customers abroad.
Additionally, Jon owns several premium butcher shops throughout Sydney. These shops sell meat from his own cattle and sheep, as well as livestock sourced from farmer partners.
Jon's extensive experience in the red meat agribusiness sector, from farming to processing and retail, provides him with a comprehensive understanding of what it takes to be a successful farm owner. This knowledge enables him to effectively assist farmers in growing their businesses through optimal farm finance solutions.
Jon holds a Diploma in Finance and Mortgage Broking Management. He is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD), a Justice of the Peace in NSW, and holds a Bachelor's Degree in International Relations.
