Karen Le Comte prides herself on the highly personalised mortgage broking service she and the Mortgage Choice Cleveland team provide to their many clients.

“I have built our business and the service we provide with a focus on creating ‘clients for life’,” Karen says. “I not only form strong friendships with many of our clients, but we become their long-term trusted advisers, assisting them with their changing financial needs at various times in their lives.

“I made the move from banking into mortgage broking as a result of my desire to provide clients with a professional, tailored and customer-focused service that adds real value for them.

“My ‘client for life’ philosophy is reflected in the service I provide, which is based on a commitment to ongoing communication with my clients, not only throughout the loan process, but well beyond settlement.”

Karen’s knowledge, passion and client focus has seen her become one of the most highly respected and recognised mortgage brokers in Australia, with a string of industry and business awards.

Since starting her business in 2006, Karen has submitted and settled over $1 billion in loans and has helped more than 4000 clients attain their financial goals. More than 90 per cent of Karen’s business comes as a result of referral from clients or business partners.

The Mortgage Choice Cleveland team is able to meet the needs of clients by working closely with a strong network of local and respected business partners who provide valuable expertise in the areas of real estate, financial planning, property law, building/developing and personal insurance.

All the members of the team are actively involved in the local community and the business is a strong supporter of charities such as The Kids’ Cancer Project.

“At Mortgage Choice, we are real people who care about every client we work with. Our number one goal is helping people get finance approval to fulfil their needs or dreams,” says Erin Le Comte. 

Because she understands that many people may find the borrowing process daunting, Erin is dedicated to guiding her clients through each stage. Relatable and positive, she values great communication, and learns about her clients’ needs through open and honest conversations. Once a loan solution has been identified, she ensures applicants are comfortable with the proposal and have a full understanding of what they are applying for.

“My aim is to break down the barriers and ‘simplify finance’ by helping my clients understand their financial position, the application process and reassuring them that we are constantly working with their best interest in mind,” she says. “At the end of the day, we work for our clients and they are our top priority.”

Along with the ‘care factor’, Erin is highly experienced and skilled at navigating the loans market on behalf of her clients. “It’s critical that the loan is established to be suitable for each client’s needs now and into the future where possible, and achieving the desired outcome often requires persistence and great negotiation skills!”

Erin joined the Mortgage Choice team in 2012 and over the past decade has worked her way up from support positions. “I started with no finance experience or knowledge and assisted with the administration while completing my Cert III in Business Administration. Over time my knowledge of lending and how the finance industry works has grown and I have progressively increased my skills and qualifications to become a mortgage broker gaining my Cert IV in Finance and my Diploma in Mortgage Broking as well as conveniently offering my services as a qualified Commissioner for Declarations in QLD.” 

She specialises in home loans, investment loans, first home buyers, refinances, renovations and construction loans. As a long-time resident of The Redlands, she has an excellent knowledge of the local market. Erin’s office is located in Cleveland and she is happy to work with clients from around the local region as well as interstate.

Ryan Anderson

Loans Administrator 

Ryan Anderson has been a crucial part of the Mortgage Choice Cleveland team for nine years, playing a key role in managing the borrowing process for clients. Recently accredited as a loan consultant, he continues to offer a high level of expertise, particularly in home loans, investment loans, asset finance (car and equipment), and personal loans.

“We offer an end-to-end service and are a ‘one-stop-shop’ for all our clients’ borrowing needs,” Ryan explains. “Our goal is to make applying for finance easier by assisting clients as much as possible with their applications.”

Ryan’s meticulous attention to detail ensures that clients receive an accurate and efficient service, eliminating avoidable delays. His in-depth knowledge of lenders’ documentation and procedural requirements allows him to offer a seamless experience. His high-level customer service skills, combined with his credentials, including a Cert IV and a Diploma in Finance and Mortgage Broking Management, further enhance his professionalism.

Friendly and approachable, Ryan is always available to assist with queries and keeps clients updated as their applications progress. His dedication to service excellence was recognised in 2019, when he was nominated as a finalist in the Loan Administration category at the MFAA Awards.

Outside of work, Ryan enjoys spending his weekends socializing with friends, unwinding from his busy week. At home, he’s kept company by his beloved cat, Tulip, who adds a bit of fun and relaxation to his downtime. Known for his friendly, approachable nature, Ryan balances his personal and professional life with ease, making him both an expert in his field and a relatable, trustworthy consultant.  

Sarah Wilkins

Administration Assistant

Sarah holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business, majoring in Financial Planning, and has always been passionate about helping others. After spending three years working in financial planning administration, Sarah decided to shift her focus to mortgage broking. Grateful for the opportunity to learn from Karen and the team, she has quickly become an integral part of the process, providing valuable support to clients.

Sarah and her partner are working toward entering the property market themselves, so she truly understands the challenges that new buyers face. As she learns through her own journey, she helps others navigate the complexities of buying a home.

In her role, Sarah is the first point of contact for both new and existing clients, preparing their files in a timely and efficient manner. She ensures everything is in order for assessment and hands off to be assessed. Once the loan settles Sarah follows up to make sure loans run smoothly for the life of the agreement.

Sarah’s caring and calm nature makes her a reliable and supportive member of the team, always ready to help clients with patience and understanding.

Hanna is a dedicated Administration Assistant here at Mortgage Choice Cleveland, bringing a diverse skill set and a positive attitude to our team. After previously working with us, she took some time to explore new opportunities but quickly rediscovered her passion for this industry and our supportive environment, prompting her enthusiastic return.

Hanna holds a Certificate III in Business Administration, along with a strong background in customer care and meticulous attention to detail. She plays a key role in ensuring our operations run smoothly and efficiently. She enjoys building relationships with both clients and colleagues and is always eager to lend a helping hand.

Hanna is friendly and approachable, always happy and eager to assist with any queries that come her way. She takes pride in providing excellent support to both our clients and our team, ensuring everyone feels heard and important and has a smile on their face!

Outside of work, Hanna enjoys spending quality time with her friends and family and enjoys exploring the outdoors, always seeking her next adventure!
