As a self-described ‘people person’, Karin believes being a successful mortgage broker is not just about numbers – it’s all about helping people.

‘I love being able to help people realise their property goals and dreams,’ she says. ‘Buying a home or investment is such a big decision in a person’s life. It is something that should not be taken lightly, and being able to share the journey with my clients is exciting and rewarding.’

Before arranging a loan for her customers, Karin takes the time to gain an understanding of their expectations and needs. ‘Without that, you can’t provide an optimal solution, which is what I always strive to do. Over the course of my career, I have learnt that asking questions and truly listening is the best way to understand where people are now and where they’d like to be in the future. This skill has allowed me to generate positive results for my customers.’

Karin prides herself on her honesty, work ethic and problem-solving abilities and says her recent experience as an owner-builder has also given her particular insight into the borrowing process from the client’s perspective. ‘I have a practical approach to managing any situation,’ she says.

‘As someone with experience dealing with people from all walks of life, I am empathetic and approachable. My role is to offer thoughtful advice and clear explanations to guide my customers through the borrowing process and help them attain their goals.’
