With 25 years’ industry experience, Philip has extensive knowledge in all facets of home lending and asset and vehicle finance, as well as commercial lending products.

Philip thrives on building strong one-on-one customer relationships, honesty, and seeing his clients succeed. ‘Whether running a business or commencing a property portfolio, I want to go on a journey with my clients to be part of their ultimate success and growth,’ he says.

Philip takes a strategic, forward-looking approach when arranging loans for his clients, carefully assessing both their present circumstance and how this might change in the years ahead. 

‘I have the ability to listen, challenge, and understand that each client and their situation is unique,’ he says. ‘Too often we base a solution on the current needs without looking at what may be required in the future. However, when it comes to building financial wellbeing, it’s vital that loans are structured to adapt as your needs change.’

Philip has worked in the banking industry since 1995, and held a number of client-facing roles at Commonwealth Bank, including 17 years as a relationship manager, working across small business lending and corporate banking. During this time he launched a Small Business Banking program through the Western Region Branch Network in Melbourne, and received several industry awards including Victorian Corporate Banker of the Year CBA (2010) and Excellence Award for Above and Beyond Service in Business Banking at CBA (2019).

‘Whilst my expertise is in commercial lending across a number of industries, I have the ability to manage a client’s entire personal and commercial banking as a trusted adviser; I’m not afraid to challenge decisions in order to get the best outcomes for my client,’ he says.

As a lifelong resident of Melbourne’s Western Suburbs, Philip is keen to be part of the continued growth of region and its people. He also offers a mobile service and is happy to assist clients right across the Melbourne metro area.
