Communication was not that great. I was having to continually follow up Terry for updates. Whilst I understand we were not the only clients, it was quite a stressful process and felt like each time I made a follow up enquiry it was pestering him. We also weren't advised about the additional fees payable to the lender upon securing the loan.

Having dealt with Terry and Joe over the last few years I was more than happy to deal with them again.

I was a little disappointed in the delivery of the paperwork from the Smartline office to the Bank as it didn't arrive at the bank until the day before settlement and the paperwork was signed 5 working days before.
Terry and all his team was like I am dealing to a family member. They are very nice people.

Terry did an amazing job. He was in NZ for a week of our loan being before the bank and left us in the hands of his wonderful assistant. I think Terry made contact with us the minute the plane hit Melbourne airspace! We had a hiccup from the bank but Terry and his staff were onto it and certainly made the whole process less stressful. We were not a 'standard' situation and Terry worked hard to ensure that what we wanted was achieved. No hesitation in recommending him and his team.

There were some minor issues with the settlement of the property I purchased. It could have gone smoother if Smartline were consulting with my conveyancer throughout the process.

Found the process messy and confusing. Didn't know who to contact when we had problems re: call bank or adviser. Whole service took a long time, and we nearly lost the house contract because of it. Won't use a broker again next time, will just go straight to the bank.
