What to bring to your Home Loan meeting?

You've taken the first step and booked a meeting with one of the Brokers at Mortgage Choice Blackwood & Adelaide. Awesome - what now?

To ensure we have the most accurate information available to you at our meeting, please arrange to provide us with your financial documents and statements at least 2 business days prior to our meeting. This allows us time to do the prework required to check your borrowing power and financial situation against multiple bank policies and products.

Please bring your physical ID documents to the meeting for ID verification. If it's a virtual meeting, please have them handy for screenshots of the documents next to your faces.

As a basic compliance requirement we will need:

  • 2 forms of ID
  • 2 most recent payslips
  • PAYG Summary from the last financial year
  • Details of any other income (Rent/Centrelink/Private Pensions)
  • Last 90 Days in your incom/expenses and savings accounts
  • Last 6 months Statements for your Home Loan
  • Last 3 months statements on any other debts/credit cards/personal loans/Hecs
  • Salary Sacrifice Statements if applicable
  • If Self Employed: Last 2 years Tax Returns/Notice of Assessments and 3 months Statements in your Business account
  • If over 40, we may require Superannuation Statements or an exist strategy document

Additional Documents may be required based on your individual financial circumstances.

If you are applying for a loan with a Guarantor, your Guarantor/s will also need to attend and bring their information as above.

Mortgage Choice has access to two secure document portals (MyHub and File Invite), with 2 factor authentification to protect your information. You should receive an invite to submit your documents through the portal.

We also use a Bank Statements collection Tool called BankStatements.com.au which is Australian built and owned and provides us with all the detail we need without you having to download statements one by one. For added security, we do suggest changing your netbanking passwords after you use the service.

If sending personal and private information over email ensure to passord protect the files and send the password in a second email or SMS.

You can find our Privacy Policy here.

We look forward to meeting with you soon.
