David Honey is a highly experienced mortgage broker who enjoys helping people achieve their goals.
After a 20-year career as a chartered accountant, he became a mortgage broker in 2014. Since then he’s helped hundreds of Victorians plan for a successful future. “If you can dream, then I can work with you to make those dreams become a reality,” he says.
David provides reassurance, empathy, and is committed to looking after his clients and working in their best interests. “I listen, ask questions and make sure that I understand their needs,” he says. “I get a complete understanding of their requirements and objectives along with their circumstances, then use my expertise to compare different lenders and identify suitable options.”
To optimise outcomes, he takes a measured approach, assessing each case from a long-term perspective. “I’ve got numerous clients that I’m working with on two- to three-year plans in order to get them started,” he explains. “After fully assessing my clients’ circumstances, I explain their options, including whether waiting and saving more deposit might result in a better outcome for them.”
David works hard to save his clients time and worry by guiding them through the borrowing process step-by step. “I communicate throughout the loan process, letting clients know what’s happening with their application, giving them plenty of advance notice as to what’s required of them, as well as outlining what the next steps in the process are.”
“My philosophy is to respond to queries promptly and provide clear explanations to ensure clients understand their options,” he adds. “I appreciate that first home buyers in particular will have a lot of questions, and I enjoy helping them with their journey.”
David also goes out of his way to ensure he’s available for his clients when they need him. “I’m available at times and locations that suit them – including evenings and weekends,” he says. “I’m mobile and willing to travel all over Victoria to meet clients face to face or in certain circumstances, via digital methods.”
David can assist with all types of loans including home loans, investment property loans, refinancing, first home buyers, self-employed, debt consolidation, construction/renovation loans, bridging loans, business loans, commercial property loans, personal loans and car loans.
