Paul also provided comprehensive and comprehensible details about the loan structures, and very happily (and patiently) explained features and gave more detail about various options when I asked. the service I have had, and have always had from John Speirs is nothing short of exceptional every time which is why I will follow John and Smartline every time.
I find the extraordinarily prompt responses from Smartline (and John in particular) so exceptionally prompt and this has been a feature of Smartline since my commencement with them many years ago (after following John from another broker). I am aware he leads his team with the same ethos but more importantly is a genuine, very real person and that has become as valuable to me (and no doubt hundreds of others like me) as the service itself. I can be very challenging and I know I would not get this level of service anywhere else and John and his team go out of their way to ensure it is as seamless as possible for me, every single time. I will always support Smartline and John in particular and will continue to advocate their services at every opportunity and conversation that presents. The service is flawless but very real. PS - I wish John would go into politics - it would be an easy decision to vote for someone ethical as well as professional !

Gary is an absolute amazing broker. I’m probably not a normal client and always leave things to last minute and have difficult requests, nothing is ever to hard for him and No matter what time of day or night I email I can be assured a reply will be in my inbox within hours if not minutes!
He follows up car yard, buyers and just makes the transaction so easy for me - hence why I he has been the only broker in past 20yrs I would ever use!!

It would be of great help if there was a list of what documents/ quotes that are required to be attached for when you are extending your house for the bank application. Rather than sending them in a couple at a time. We could then wait until we have all corresponding docs before sending so we are all not chasing documents later.

We believe Paul went beyond his requirements to establish the type of loan to suit our needs but was confronted with changing of banking requirements when finalising of our loan. Although we got the outcome we were after with Gary's help we found him very unprofessional. Fees were never mentioned in this whole process and when signing the loan docs fees were there. When we questioned him about this he said he was also unaware of the fees until then and he was hoping that we would not notice. At another stage in the process when the car yard gave us a good deal we rang to ask if he could do the same deal he was very defensive and angry and told us that he will never recommend people to go to that dealer again.

Obviously John was great but I did see a let down from Gaden's lawyers. It could be just me but I didn't find there instructions on how to complete the documentation easy to follow so had to ring John for clarification on the steps. I think this aspect needs improvement.

There is only one minor criticism and the emphasis is on minor. John arranged our loan through ING. For both myself and my partner Cris it would have been great to do the online establishment of the accounts with John as this part of the process has created great confusion. This is more of a criticism with ING and their processes than with John at all. Both Cris and I would have no hesitation in recommending John and hence Smartline to any of our friends. When we purchase our next house/investment the first person we will contact is John.

Every major step in the process of settlement, John would give me a quick call to inform me of what was going on. This gave me an opportunity to ask questions. Then he visited my workplace when settlement had happened to congratulate me.
Paul and John were absolutely brilliant, they were able to help us and look outside the square when others weren't able to deliver. The whole process was quick and nowhere near as painful as we thought it may be! He was very professional I am a very busy person so he didnt call me with silly stuff He was contactable if I needed and he responded promptly. When you are busy you do not want someone giving you the hard sell calling every 5 minutes I will only deal with companies that conduct themselves this way so well done John I would certainly use your services again.
